Dr. Beckett is both thrilled and humbled to care for children in his hometown of Columbia, Missouri. He is passionate about improving the care of children and their families both in Columbia and across the State of Missouri.
Dr. Beckett is an active, engaged, and committed member of the community and is dedicated to improving the lives of Mid-Missourians. He is an advocate for children and hopes to enhance public health through improved vaccination awareness and understanding.
He aims to educate patients and families, empowering them to achieve excellent outcomes. He loves working with kids because he sees potential in every child, enjoys developing relationships with families, and promoting a child’s growth and healthy habits during the journey to adulthood.
Dr. Beckett completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri and then became a Peace Corps Volunteer in Haiti where he learned to speak Haitian KreyĆ²l. He also speaks conversational Spanish. He lived in St. Louis for a decade where he worked in the medical device industry before deciding to become a physician.
He returned to Columbia to complete medical school and pediatric training at the University of Missouri.
He has been a Mizzou Tigers fan for as long as he can remember and loves spending time outdoors with his wife Emily, daughter Eleanor, and son Henry.
