Janie Jacobs, MD

Dr. Jacobs grew up in Clarksville, Missouri. She trained at UMKC School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital before moving to Columbia with her husband in 2013. She cherishes the mentorship she received as her early career at Tiger Pediatrics overlapped with those of Dr. Bob Harris, Dr. John Meyer, Dr. Ellen Thomas, and Dr. John Pecorak, and she appreciates the path which was paved by them and the examples they set of how to practice pediatric medicine.

Dr. Jacobs and her husband have a son and twin daughters. They enjoy all things Columbia and the opportunities that come from living in a college town. Their summer road trip tradition is finding college campuses to explore along the route.
