My how quickly they change! From the sleepless first few weeks, to the first steps and first words, let us help you navigate the first year in your child’s life. We will see your child at regularly scheduled well care visits in infancy, as well as for any illnesses. The majority of childhood vaccines are given in this first year.
Toddler
Are we having fun yet? Your days are filled with the joys and challenges that come along with their budding independence at these ages. With the friendly faces of our staff, fish tanks in the waiting room, and story books in our exam rooms, we strive to make your toddler feel at ease during visits to our office.

Your child’s yearly well care visit is an important time to touch base with your pediatrician on all aspects of your child’s health and make sure immunizations are up to date.
Adolescent

Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Barnes is from Trenton, Missouri and has three children. Dr. Barnes completed a combination residency, being fully trained in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. Blake loves the honesty of children and the potential that each child holds. He believes every child is a unique and precious gift from God. He enjoys helping parents provide a healthy childhood leading toward a healthy adult life.

view profileDr. Bondurant did her undergraduate studies, medical school, and pediatric training at the University of Missouri. She joined Tiger Pediatrics, formerly Boone Clinic, twenty years ago. She has a clinic in Moberly on Tuesday mornings.
Holly Hite Bondurant, MD, FAAP
view profileDr. Dietiker grew up in rural Boone County. She attended the University of Missouri for undergraduate and medical school and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Alabama – Birmingham. She spent a year working as a pediatric hospitalist before deciding to join the very pediatric clinic where she was a patient. Dr. Dietiker primarily sees patients at the Southampton location.

view profileDr. Jacobs graduated from the B.A./M.D. program at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and completed her pediatric training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She joined Tiger Pediatrics in 2013. She practices exclusively at the Keene Street location.

view profileDr. James Liesen is excited to settle back down in Columbia MO to continue caring for many of central Missouri’s children.
Dr. Liesen is an avid runner, enjoys hiking and being outdoors, and loves time with his family. He enjoys gardening and any outside work. He grew up in an agricultural setting and has always enjoyed the outdoors.
He and his wife Dianne have 8 children, and are looking forward to future grandchildren. His middle son was born with a rare genetic disorder which caused him to have autism and multiple developmental delays. Tragically he passed away from complications from an aggressive infection in 2021.
Dr. Liesen says he loves watching kids grow, learn, and develop over time. It is just enjoyable watching newborn babies grow into older infants, then toddlers, childhood and into adolescence. He has always enjoyed being a part of the process by teaching and problem solving with parents.

view profileDr. Monsees completed her undergraduate degree at Baylor University, where she also earned the honor of induction to the Baylor Sports Hall of Fame for her track and field records. She attended medical school at the University of Missouri and completed pediatric residency at Georgetown University.
Lisa Monsees, MD, FAAP
view profileDr. O’Connor is also boarded in Neonatal – Perinatal Medicine for the past 25 years and has the honor to care for many of Mid-Missouri’s tiniest fighters in the neonatal intensive care unit at Boone Hospital. In addition to his role in the NICU, he also provides coverage for the pediatricians at Tiger Pediatrics.
Dr. O’Connor and his wife have 3 grown children, and eagerly anticipate future grandchildren. He is known for his sense of humor and his love of pediatrics because you have an opportunity to laugh with children each and every day.
When not working he enjoys hiking and gardening, including caring for several fruit trees.
