Melanie grew up in Kansas City. After graduating from Mizzou, she started her nursing career in St. Louis working briefly at St. Luke’s Hospital and then became a pediatric nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She moved back to Columbia in 1998 and worked at Boone Hospital Center on the pediatric unit and in the intensive care nursery. She has been working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Columbia for the past 17 years. Melanie has always loved children and enjoys working with families helping them raise happy, healthy children. Melanie and her husband, Brad, have 2 daughters who are currently studying at Mizzou. They also love spending family time biking the MKT trail or boating and skiing at the lake.
Melanie is generally out of the office on Fridays. She sees patients at both the Southampton and Keene Street locations and will be seeing patients in Boonville on Thursdays.
